DAYSHIFT Hardware

DAYSHIFT is available in either HD or SD configurations. All configurations include RAID storage and rack mount chassis for easy integration into existing facilities.

HD - 4U

Our 4U rackmount chassis can be equipped with redundant power supplies for added reliability.

RAID options include RAID1 for SD and RAID5 or 6 for HD. Systems are built with Enterprise class drives and controllers to ensure maximum up time.

TIME SHIFTING • MPEG-2 ENCODING

DAYSHIFT software is designed primarily for broadcast and cable TV operations where a program needs to be recorded at one time and played back at another. This interval can be as little as 7 seconds, or as great as 24 hours.

During playback the DAYSHIFT system can also add a bug or any other still graphic to the video. This can be any PNG with multiple levels of transparency and full color.

Status Window

The MPEG-2 Encoder allows capture of HD or SD video and audio sources. This would normally be satellite feeds, spots or programs from tape, or live productions that need playback or archiving.

MPEG-2 Encoder

ON SCREEN DISPLAY - with many recording applications you can't see any on screen indication of what you are recording. With DAYSHIFT you can see BOTH incoming and outgoing video, so you can run with confidence.

Our MPEG-2 recorder shows exactly what you are capturing (with both a video monitor and audio level meter) and allows clip verification so you can check your files BEFORE you send them to your server.
